Dynamic Attorney Charles E. Simpson Describes Current Real Estate Realities to Help Seniors Deal with Aggressive Gentrification

On November 9, 2007, the Senior Landlords & Tenants Reconciliation Project hosted Attorney Charles E. Simpson, a Partner of Windels Marx Lane & Mittendorf, LLP, chair of the firm’s Bankruptcy, Creditors’ Rights and Workouts Practice Group, and who is a member of the Corporate and Securities, Litigation and Alternative Dispute Resolution and Real Estate Practice Groups. He discussed the current state of the New York real estate market and how it relates to Seniors in rent regulated apartments, as well as explaining Senior housing rights. He offered suggestions on how to negotiate and talk with landlords and how to keep their apartment records updated.
